BÜCHI Labortechnik AG announces the launch of two new product lines for steam distillation with innovative, modular features that provide maximum flexibility in analyte determination. The newly developed instrument is available as BUCHI Dist Line or Kjel Line with three performance levels. The Dist Line is designed to cover a broad range of steam-volatile analytes offering highest flexibility and convenience. The Kjel Line is optimized for Kjeldahl applications for protein and nitrogen determination and provide extreme accuracy while saving resources and time.
The new BUCHI Kjel Line provides maximum accuracy and reproducible nitrogen and protein determinations due to advanced built-in sensor technology. The communication with peripherals such as tank level sensors, cooling water valve, safety door sensors and an innovative level sensor enable extraordinary user protection and a new level of efficiency. BUCHI has also developed an exceptional reaction detection sensor, which saves up to 30% of reagent consumption with environmental safety in mind.
The BUCHI Dist Line sets new standards in the versatile determination of steam-volatile analytes in samples from the beverages & food industries, as well as from chemical, testing and environmental labs. The systems can determine several analytes such as volatile acids, alcohol, cyanide, sulfite, phenol index, essential oils, formaldehyde, vicinal diketones and nitrogen. The instruments enable faster method development, more multitasking possibilities and can be easily upgraded to a tailored solution, fitting to the customers’ individual needs.
The new steam distillation units join BUCHI’s existing portfolio for complete proximate analysis with Extraction and NIR solutions.
