Water Activity Measurements
HygroLab from ROTRONIC is the out latest high-end laboratory analyzer for water activity measurements with up to four measurement probe inputs. It allows asynchronous or simultaneous measurement with the tried-and-tested AW Quick function for pharmaceutical products, tobacco, coffee, cosmetics, food and many more. Innovative and stand-alone user interface The up-to-date interface of the HygroLab promises simple and clear handling of the anticipated measurements. The high-quality touch screen allows easy operation. A mouse and keyboard can be connected via USB ports, and web access enables remote control by PC or tablet. Hence the measurements can be observed easily and measurement reports downloaded from anywhere at any time. AW Quick measurements In AW Quick mode, the HygroLab uses an algorithm to accelerate water activity measurement, and bring the results in around five minutes. When temperature conditions are stable (both at the product and probe), the value measured in AW Quick mode is usually within ±0.005 AW of the value that would be obtained when waiting for full equilibration of temperature and water activity (AwE mode). Features 4-channel benchtop display unit for measurement of water activity, relative humidity and temperature AW Quick function for fast measurement results (usually 4-5 minutes) Updates with functional enhancements 4 USB ports (e.g. for mouse and keyboard) Remote access (by PC or tablet) Automatically generated measurement report after every measurement In addition to its independent interface and simple handling, the HygroLab is characterized by its high accuracy of ±0.008 Aw (HC2-AW probe at 23 °C) and the possibility to perform measurements on up to four samples simultaneously or asynchronously. Further, software updates can be downloaded directly from the HygroLab and bring functional enhancements such as planned FDA conformity and the ability to calibrate probes. The high-end benchtop instrument was designed primarily for measurement of water activity (AW). It is also ideal for laboratory applications where humidity and temperature values are required.
